How We Got Engaged
A week before our anniversary, Mandy and Chris were discussing plans for their 3rd anniversary together and came to the conclusion that they would purchase steaks and have dinner at home since their anniversary was in the middle of the week. Chris came home that evening of our anniversary and said that he made reservations at Simon and Seaforts instead. Not wanting to miss our last Bachata dance class of the month, Mandy insisted the two attend at least half of the class before heading to dinner.
So the two headed over to Alaska Dance Promotions for their Bachata dance lessons. Without Mandy's knowledge, Chris had the proposal arranged with our dance instructors, Chris A. and Michelle, and dance team member Tristen. Chris A. had asked Chris and Mandy to demonstrate what they have been practicing in the Bachata class. Mandy, being the teacher's pet, was super excited to demonstrate her new dance moves. Unbeknownst to her, Chris was about to propose to her! The song we were dancing to was called, "Princesa" by Frank Reyes. It is about a man asking a woman to be his queen. Nice music selection, Chris A.!
